We are an independent acoustic consultancy based in Maidstone, Kent and cover all areas of the UK and internationally We are highly experienced in environmental acoustics and specialise in entertainment sound management, noise impact assessments, section 61 applications, construction noise, sound management plans and room acoustics. We also regularly undertake attended and unattended noise monitoring for many situations, such as for outdoor concerts, music venues and construction sites.
Where any noise source has been identified as likely to cause complaint, we can offer mitigation solutions and criteria for its control. This can help ensure noise level compliance and to meet the objectives for planning applications and licensing to a local authority. We can assess the feasibility and the siting of noise source before it is operational for almost any application, such as a stage from a large outdoor concert or through a BS4142 assessment for commercial plant machinery to be installed in a built up area.
James Gardner is an associate member of the Instate of Acoustics and holds the MSc in Applied Acoustics (with distinction) from the University of Derby. He has previously worked as a live sound engineer and so continues to consult the events industry on noise and licensing matters.
