1
Consultation
We will begin by discussing the relevant areas, equipment, and staff activities to identify the sources of noise and potential risks. This information will guide our sampling strategy when we visit the site.
2
Site Survey
By employing our sound level meters and dosimeters, we will begin measuring and quantifying noise for specific tasks, activities, or machinery. We can evaluate work practices and patterns to determine the duration of exposure related to each activity.
3
Risk Assessment
By taking into account the working hours (weekly or monthly), we can begin to assess the noise risks posed by specific workers at your facility. Relevant options may include reducing noise at its source, limiting exposure, or implementing acoustic mitigation measures such as barriers, enclosures, and ear defenders.
Every workplace is unique and there is no one size fits all approach for managing occupational noise. The HSE recommend such surveys are performed by suitably qualified and competent personnel. Our reports will enable you as the employer to manage and reduce risks from noise which are compliant with the objectives of the HSE.
